ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ فِي سنة اثنتى عشرة ومائة غَزَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الصَّائِفَةَ، فَافْتَتَحَ خَرْشَنَةَ . وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، وَقِيلَ: سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ. ( وَفِيهَا اسْتَعْمَلَ أَهْلُ الْأَنْدَلُسِ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ بَعْدَ مَوْتِ الْهَيْثَمِ أَمِيرَهُمْ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ، فَبَقِيَ شَهْرَيْنِ، وَوَلِيَ بَعْدَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْغَافِقِيُّ ). وَكَانَ عُمَّالُ الْأَمْصَارِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ مَنْ ذَكَرْنَاهُمْ فِي السَّنَةِ قَبْلَهَا.
Translation
✧ Mention of a number of events In the year one hundred and twelve, Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām raided the summer expedition, and he conquered Kharshana. Ibrāhīm b. Hishām al-Makhzūmī led the people in pilgrimage this year, and it was said: Sulaymān b. Hishām b. ʿAbd al-Malik. (And in it the people of al-Andalus appointed over themselves, after the death of al-Haytham their amīr, Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Malik al-Ashjaʿī, and he remained for two months; and after him ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Ghāfiqī was placed in charge). The governors of the amṣār this year were those whom we mentioned in the year before it.
