The Year 107
وَفِي سنة سبع ومائة غَزَا أَسَدٌ جِبَالَ نَمِرُونَ مَلِكِ غَرْشِسْتَانَ مِمَّا يَلِي جِبَالَ الطَّالْقَانِ، فَصَالَحَهُ نَمِرُونَ وَأَسْلَمَ عَلَى يَدِهِ، وَهُمُ [ الْيَوْمَ ] يَتَوَلَّوْنَ الْيَمَنَ.
Translation
✧ And in the year 107, Asad raided the mountains of Namirūn, king of Gharshistān, on the side adjacent to the mountains of Ṭālaqān. Namirūn made peace with him and embraced Islam at his hands, and they [today] hold authority over Yemen.
