غَزْوَةِ عَنْبَسَةَ الْفِرِنْجَ بِالْأَنْدَلُسِ وفِي سنة سبع ومائة غَزَا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ الْكَلْبِيُّ عَامِلُ الْأَنْدَلُسِ بَلَدَ الْفِرِنْجِ فِي جَمْعٍ كَثِيرٍ، وَنَازَلَ مَدِينَةَ قَرْقَسُونَةَ وَحَصَرَ أَهْلَهَا، فَصَالَحُوهُ عَلَى نِصْفِ أَعْمَالِهَا، وَعَلَى جَمِيعِ مَا فِي الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ أَسْرَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَسْلَابِهِمْ، وَأَنْ يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ، وَيَلْتَزِمُوا بِأَحْكَامِ الذِّمَّةِ مِنْ مُحَارَبَةِ مَنْ حَارَبَهُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، وَمُسَالِمَةِ مَنْ سَالَمُوهُ، فَعَادَ عَنْهُمْ عَنْبَسَةُ، وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي شَعْبَانَ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَمِائَةٍ أَيْضًا، وَكَانَتْ وِلَايَتُهُ أَرْبَعَ سِنِينَ وَأَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ، وَلَمَّا مَاتَ اسْتَعْمَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِشْرُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَلَمَةَ الْكَلْبِيَّ فِي ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ أَيْضًا.
Translation
✧ The expedition of ʿAnbasah against the Franks in al-Andalus In the year one hundred and seven, ʿAnbasah b. Suḥaym al-Kalbī, the governor of al-Andalus, raided the land of the Franks with a large force. He encamped before the city of Qarqasūnah and besieged its inhabitants. They made peace with him on condition of surrendering half of their lands and all the Muslim captives and their belongings that were in the city, and that they pay the jizyah, and bind themselves to the obligations of the dhimmah: to fight those whom the Muslims fight, and make peace with those with whom the Muslims make peace. Then ʿAnbasah departed from them. He died in Shaʿbān of the year one hundred and seven as well. His governorship lasted four years and four months. When he died, Bishr b. Ṣafwān appointed over them Yaḥyā b. Salamah al-Kalbī in Dhū al-Qaʿdah of the year one hundred and seven also.
