وفي سَنَةُ سِتٍّ وَمِائَةٍ غَزَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الصَّائِفَةَ، وَغَزَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ اللَّانَ، فَصَالَحَ أَهْلَهَا وَأَدَّوُا الْجِزْيَةَ. وَفِيهَا: قَدِمَ خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَسْرِيُّ أَمِيرًا عَلَى الْعِرَاقِ بَعْدَ خُرَاسَانَ، فَاسْتَعْمَلَ أَخَاهُ لَبِيدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَلَى خُرَاسَانَ. وَفِيهَا: اسْتَقْضَى هِشَامٌ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ الْجُمَحِيَّ، ثُمَّ عَزَلَهُ وَاسْتَقْضَى الصَّلْتَ الْكِنْدِيَّ. وَفِيهَا: وُلِدَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فِي رَجَبٍ.
Translation
✧ In the year one hundred and six, Saʿīd b. ʿAbd al-Malik raided the summer expedition, and al-Ḥajjāj b. ʿAbd al-Malik raided the Lān, and he made peace with its people and they paid the jizyah. In it: Khālid b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Qasrī arrived as governor over al-ʿIrāq after Khurāsān, and he appointed his brother Labīd b. ʿAbd Allāh over Khurāsān. In it: Hishām appointed Ibrāhīm b. Hishām al-Jumaḥī as judge, then he dismissed him and appointed al-Ṣalt al-Kindī as judge. In it: ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAlī was born in Rajab.
