Translation
✧ The people were led in the pilgrimage in the year one hundred and five by Ibrāhīm b. Hishām b. Ismāʿīl al-Makhzūmī, the maternal uncle of the Commander of the Faithful, the brother of his mother ʿĀʾishah bt. Hishām b. Ismāʿīl. She bore no child to ʿAbd al-Malik besides him, until he divorced her, because she was foolish. He sent to ʿAṭāʾ: "When should I deliver the sermon?" He said: "After noon, one day before the Day of Tarwiyah." So he delivered the sermon before noon, and said: "My messenger informed me on the authority of ʿAṭāʾ." ʿAṭāʾ said: "I did not command him except after noon," and he felt ashamed. In this year, the governor of Madinah, Makkah, and al-Ṭāʾif was ʿAbd al-Wāḥid al-Naḍrī. The governor of Iraq and Khurāsān was ʿUmar b. Hubayrah. The judge of Kufa was Ḥusayn b. Ḥasan al-Kindī. The judge of Basra was Mūsā b. Anas.
