وفي سَنَةُ خَمْسٍ وَمِائَةٍ غَزَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَكَمِيُّ بِلَادَ اللَّانِ، وَفَتَحَ حُصُونًا كَثِيرَةً، وَبِلَادًا مُتَّسِعَةَ الْأَكْنَافِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ بَلَنْجَرَ 72، وَأَصَابَ غَنَائِمَ جَمَّةً، وَسَبَى خَلْقًا مِنْ أَوْلَادِ الْأَتْرَاكِ. وَفِيهَا غَزَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ بِلَادَ التُّرْكِ، وَحَاصَرَ مَدِينَةً عَظِيمَةً مِنْ بِلَادِ الصُّغْدِ فَصَالَحَهُ مَلِكُهَا عَلَى مَالٍ كَثِيرٍ يَحْمِلُهُ إِلَيْهِ. وَفِيهَا غَزَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ بِلَادَ الرُّومِ، فَبَعَثَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ سِرِّيَّةً أَلْفَ فَارِسٍ فَأُصِيبُوا جَمِيعًا. وَغَزَا مَسْلَمَةُ أَفْشِينَ، فَصَالَحَ أَهْلَهَا عَلَى سِتَّةِ آلَافِ رَأْسٍ، وَدُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ الْقَلْعَةُ، وَذَلِكَ لِتَمَامِ خَمْسٍ وَمِائَةٍ بَعْدَ مَوْتِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ. وَفِيهَا غَزَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّائِفَةَ الْيُمْنَى، فَافْتَتَحَ قُونِيَةَ مِنْ أَرْضِ الرُّومِ وَكُمْخَ.
Translation
✧ In the year one hundred and five. Al-Jarrāḥ b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥakamī raided the land of the Lān and conquered many fortresses and wide-territoried regions beyond Balanjar 72, and obtained abundant spoils and took captive a multitude of the children of the Turks. In it, Muslim b. Saʿīd raided the land of the Turks and besieged a great city of the land of al-Ṣughd, and its king made peace with him for much wealth that he would convey to him. In it, Saʿīd b. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Marwān raided the land of the Byzantines, and he sent before him a raiding party of a thousand horsemen, and they were all slain. And Maslama raided Afshīn, and made peace with its people for six thousand heads, and the fortress was delivered to him, and that was at the completion of one hundred and five, after the death of Yazīd b. ʿAbd al-Malik. In it, Marwān b. Muḥammad raided the right summer expedition, and conquered Qūniya in the land of the Byzantines, and Kumakh.
