The story of Moses the one who spoke with Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
Translation
✧ [The kings after Yūshaʿ b. Nūn ﷺ ] As for the kings, Manūshihr perished in the time of Yūshaʿ, and Afrāsiyāb became king. He used to stay much in Bābil and at Mihrajān Qadhaq, and he wrought great corruption in the kingdom of Persia, and he buried the rivers and the canals, and the people suffered drought in the fifth year of his reign, until he departed from the kingdom of the Persians, and the waters sank away, and the fruit-bearing trees changed, until a king called Zaww, of the descendants of Manūshihr, with several fathers between them, rose against him, and drove him out of the kingdom of the Persians, and repaired what he had corrupted, and remitted the land tax from the people for seven years. So the lands flourished in his kingdom, and the waters became abundant in them, and he dug a canal in the Sawād and called it al-Zāb, and he ordered that a city be built on its two banks, and it is the one called al-Madīnah al-ʿAtīqah, and he planted trees in it. He was one of the first for whom varieties of cooked food were prepared, and on the day he became king and placed the crown on his head he said: We are proceeding to restore what the sorcerer Farīsāb destroyed. All the reign of Zaww was three years. His son Kayqubād ruled after him, and he resembled Pharaoh in pride. He begot giant sons, and he named cities after them, and many wars took place between him and the Turks and others. He encamped near the river of Balkh to prevent the Turks from penetrating the borders of Persia. His reign was one hundred years. The one in charge of the affairs of the Israelites was Yūshaʿ, then Kālib b. Yūfannā, then Ḥizqīl.
