The Year 98
وَفِي سنة ثمان وتسعين فُتِحَتْ مَدِينَةُ الصَّقَالِبَةِ قَالَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ: وَقَدْ أَغَارَتِ الْبُرْجَانُ عَلَى جَيْشِ مَسْلَمَةَ وَهُوَ فِي قِلَّةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ سُلَيْمَانُ جَيْشًا فَقَاتَلَ الْبُرْجَانَ حَتَّى هَزَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
Translation
✧ In the year ninety-eight the city of the Slavs was conquered. Al-Wāqidī said: The Burjān raided the army of Maslamah while he was with a small number of men, in this year. So Sulaymān sent an army to him, and they fought the Burjān until God, Mighty and Majestic, defeated them.
