Translation
✧ In the year ninety-two, Qutaybah raided Sijistān, seeking Rutbīl, the greatest king of the Turks. When he reached the beginning of Rutbīl's kingdom, his messengers met him, seeking peace from him for great wealth: horses, slaves, and women from the daughters of kings, to be conveyed to him. So he made peace with him. And he appointed over them ʿAbd Rabbihi b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Laythī.
