Translation
✧ In the year ninety-one Maslamah b. ʿAbd al-Malik and his nephew ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. al-Walīd led the summer expedition. Maslamah b. ʿAbd al-Malik was in command of the army. In it, Maslamah raided the Turks, until he reached al-Bāb from the direction of Adharbayjān, and cities and fortresses were conquered at his hands. Al-Walīd had dismissed his paternal uncle Muḥammad b. Marwān from al-Jazīrah and Adharbayjān, and appointed his brother Maslamah b. ʿAbd al-Malik over them both.
