The story of Moses the one who spoke with Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
[ذِكْرُ الْمُلُوكِ] فِي زَمَانِ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ] إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَلِكٍ مِنْ مُلُوكِ الْيَمَنِ مَلَكَ كَانَ لَهُمْ فِي زَمَانِ مُوسَى مِنْ حِمْيَرَ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: شُمَيْرُ بْنُ الْأُهْلُوكِ. وَهُوَ الَّذِي بَنَى مَدِينَةَ ظِفَارَ بِالْيَمَنِ، وَأَخْرَجَ مَنْ كَانَ بِهَا مِنَ الْعَمَالِيقِ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا الْمَلِكَ الْحِمْيَرِيَّ كَانَ مِنْ عُمَّالِ مُلُوكِ الْفُرْسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى الْيَمَنِ وَنَوَاحِيهَا.
Translation
✧ [Mention of the kings in the time of Moses ﷺ ] The first king of the kings of Yemen to rule was in the time of Moses, from Ḥimyar, called Shumayr b. al-Uhlūk. He is the one who built the city of Ẓifār in Yemen and expelled the ʿAmālīq who were in it. This Ḥimyarī king was one of the agents of the kings of the Persians at that time over Yemen and its surrounding regions.
