The story of Moses the one who spoke with Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

Translation

✧ In the mention that the Children of Israel harmed Moses and attributed to him a scrotal hernia A group of the Children of Israel found fault with Moses because he used to wash while wearing a waist-wrapper, and they said he had a scrotal hernia (ādar). Al-ādar means one with large testicles. On the authority of Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "The Children of Israel used to bathe naked, looking at one another, while Moses used to bathe alone. They said: 'By Allah, nothing prevents Moses from bathing with us except that he has a scrotal hernia.' So he went once to bathe and placed his garment on a stone, and the stone fled with his garment. Moses ran after it, saying: 'My garment, O stone! My garment, O stone!' until the Children of Israel looked at Moses ﷺ, and they said: 'By Allah, there is no defect in Moses.' He took his garment and began striking the stone." Abū Hurayrah said: "By Allah, there were six or seven dents in the stone from his striking it with the stone." Imam Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Bukhārī said with his chain of narration from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Moses was a very modest and veiling man; nothing of his skin was ever seen due to his extreme modesty. Those of the Children of Israel who harmed him said: 'He does not conceal himself in this manner except because of a defect in his skin: either leprosy, a scrotal hernia, or some other affliction.' Allah, Mighty and Majestic, willed to clear him of what they said about Moses. So one day he was alone and placed his clothes on a stone, then bathed. When he finished, he turned to his clothes to take them, but the stone sped away with his garment. Moses took his staff and pursued the stone, saying: 'My garment, O stone! My garment, O stone!' until he reached a gathering of the Children of Israel, and they saw him naked, in the best form that Allah had created, and he was cleared of what they were saying. The stone stopped, and he took his garment, put it on, and began striking the stone with his staff. By Allah, there were dents on the stone from the trace of his striking: three, or four, or five." He said: "That is His saying, Mighty and Majestic: 'O you who believe, do not be like those who harmed Moses, and Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was honorable in the sight of Allah.'" If it is asked: How did Moses come out naked so that people saw him? It may be explained in two ways: . One of them: that he came out when no one was there, and then they saw him. The second: that he had a waist-wrapper on, and the wrapper became visible beneath the garment wet with water.
