The Year 64 AH
قَالَ ابْنُ جَرِيرٍ: وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ وَكَانَ عَامِلَهُ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ أَخُوهُ عُبَيْدَةُ، وَعَلَى الْكُوفَةِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْخَطْمِيُّ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ نِمْرَانَ، وَامْتَنَعَ شُرَيْحٌ أَنْ يَحْكُمَ فِي زَمَانِ الْفِتْنَةِ، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ التَّيْمِيُّ وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا هِشَامُ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ خَازِمٍ.
Translation
✧ Ibn Jarir said: In this year, ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Zubayr led the people in the Hajj. His governor over Madinah was his brother ʿUbaydah, over Kufah was ʿAbd Allāh b. Yazīd al-Khaṭmī, and over its judiciary was Saʿīd b. Nimrān. Shurayḥ refrained from judging during the time of the fitnah. Over Basra was ʿUmar b. ʿUbayd Allāh b. Maʿmar al-Taymī, over its judiciary was Hishām b. Hubayrah, and over Khurasan was ʿAbd Allāh b. Khāzim.
