The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ سِتِّينَ فَمِنَ الْحَوَادِثِ فِيهَا: غَزْوَةُ مَالِكِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ سُورِيَّةَ ، وَدُخُولُ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ رُودُسَ ، وَهَدْمُهُ مَدِينَتَهَا فِي قَوْلِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ.
Translation
✧ Then the year sixty entered. Among the events in it: The military expedition of Mālik b. ʿUbayd Allāh to Syria, and the entry of Junādah b. Abī Umayyah into Rhodes, and his demolition of its city, according to the statement of al-Wāqidī.
