The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān

Translation

✧ In the year fifty-nine, the Muslims raided the fortress of Kamkh, and with them was ʿUmayr b. al-Ḥubāb al-Sulamī. ʿUmayr climbed the wall and kept fighting on it alone until he drove back the Byzantines, then the Muslims climbed up, and he conquered it through ʿUmayr. For that he used to boast, and he was boasted of for that.
