The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَكَانَ الْعَامِلُ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْعَاصِ، وَكَانَ عَلَى الْكُوفَةِ وَالْبَصْرَةِ وَالْمَشْرِقِ كُلِّهِ زِيَادٌ وَعَلَى قَضَاءِ الْكُوفَةِ شُرَيْحٌ، وَعَلَى قَضَاءِ الْبَصْرَةِ عَمِيرَةُ بْنُ يَثْرِبِيٍّ.
Translation
✧ Yazīd b. Muʿāwiyah conducted the pilgrimage with the people. The governor of Madinah was Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ. Ziyād was over Kufah, Basrah, and the entire East. Shurayḥ was over the judiciary of Kufah, and ʿUmayrah b. Yathribī over the judiciary of Basrah.
