The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وفي سَنَةُ خَمْسِينَ غَزَاةُ بُسْرِ بْنِ أَبِي أَرْطَأَةَ وَسُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَوْفٍ الْأَزْدِيِّ أَرْضَ الرُّومِ . وَفِيهَا: كَانَتْ غَزَاةُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْبَحْرَ . وَقِيلَ: إِنَّمَا كَانَتْ فِي السَّنَةِ الَّتِي قَبْلَهَا.
Translation
✧ In the year fifty The expedition of Busr b. Abī Arṭaʾah and Sufyān b. ʿAwf al-Azdī against the land of the Byzantines. And in it: the naval expedition of Faḍālah b. ʿUbayd took place. And it is said: It only took place in the year before it.
