The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ مُعَاوِيَةُ وَفي سنة أربع وأربعين: حَجَّ مُعَاوِيَةُ بِالنَّاسِ ، وَكَانَ عُمَّالُهُ عَلَى الْبِلَادِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ الْعُمَّالُ فِي السَّنَةِ الَّتِي قَبْلَهَا غَيْرَ الْبَصْرَةِ، فَكَانَ عَلَيْهَا الْحَارِثُ الْأَزْدِيُّ.
Translation
✧ Muʿāwiyah led the people in the pilgrimage this year. In the year forty-four, Muʿāwiyah led the people in the pilgrimage. His governors over the regions in this year were the governors of the previous year, except for al-Baṣrah, over which was al-Ḥārith al-Azdī.
