The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
وَفِي سنة أربع وأربعين عَمِلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ الْمَقْصُورَةَ بِالشَّامِ ، لَمَّا ضَرَبَهُ الْخَارِجِيُّ. وَعَمِلَهَا مَرْوَانُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ عَمِلَهَا بِهَا
Translation
✧ In the year forty-four, Muʿāwiyah built the enclosed prayer chamber (maqṣūrah) in Syria, when the Khārijī struck him. And Marwān built it in Madinah, and he was the first to build it there.
