The caliphate of Muʿāwiyah b. Abī Sufyān
ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ أَرْبَعٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ فِيهَا غَزَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بِلَادَ الرُّومِ ، وَمَعَهُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، وَشَتُّوا هُنَالِكَ.
Translation
✧ Then the year forty-four began. In it, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Khālid b. al-Walīd raided the lands of the Byzantines, and with him were the Muslims, and they wintered there.
