The caliphate of ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib
Translation
✧ Ibn Jarīr said: In this year, Constantine b. Heraclius advanced against the lands of the Muslims with a thousand ships. Then Allah sent upon him a violent wind, and Allah drowned him—by His might and power—and those with him. None of them escaped except the king with a small remnant of his people. When he entered Sicily, they prepared for him a bath, and he entered it. Then they killed him in it, saying, “You killed our men.”
