Translation
✧ Mention of the conquest of Kirmān When Ibn ʿĀmir marched from Kirmān to Khurāsān and appointed Mujāshiʿ b. Masʿūd al-Sulamī over Kirmān, as we mentioned before, he ordered him to conquer it. Its people had broken their pact and acted treacherously. He conquered Humayd by force, spared its people, granted them safe-conduct, and built there a palace known as the Palace of Mujāshiʿ. He came to al-Sīrajān, which is the city of Kirmān, and encamped against it for a few days while its people were fortified. He fought them and conquered it by force, and many of its people were expelled from it. He conquered Jīruft by force. He marched through Kirmān, subjugated its people, and came to al-Qafaṣ, where a great multitude of the Persians who had been expelled had gathered against him. He fought them, triumphed over them, and prevailed. Many of the people of Kirmān fled and took to the sea; some of them reached Mukrān and some Sijistān. The Arabs were granted their dwellings and lands as fiefs, cultivated them, dug canals in parts of them, and paid the tithe from them.
