The caliphate of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq ᴿᴬ
وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ حَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، وَقِيلَ: بَلْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، وَقِيلَ: عَتَّابُ بْنُ أَسِيدٍ. وَفِيهَا اسْتَقْضَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، ؓ.
Translation
✧ In this year, the people performed Ḥajj led by ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb, but it is also said: rather ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAwf, and it is said: ʿAttāb b. Asīd. In it, Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq appointed ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb as judge, ؓ.
