The messengers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his correspondence to the kings and the like
إِرْسَالِهِ ﷺ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيَّ ؓ إِلَى ذِي الْكِلَاعِ بْنِ نَاكُورِ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ بْنِ تُبَّعٍ وَإِلَى ذِي عَمْرٍو يَدْعُوهُمَا إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، فَأَسْلَمَا، وَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَجَرِيرٌ عِنْدَهُمْ ذَكَرَهُ الْحَاكِمُ، وَذَكَرَهُ فِي زَادِ الْمَعَادِ، قَالَ ابْنُ سَعْدٍ: وَأَسْلَمَتْ ضُرَيْبَةُ بِنْتُ أَبَرْهَةَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ امْرَأَةُ ذِي الْكِلَاعِ، فَخَرَجَ جَرِيرٌ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ.
Translation
✧ The sending by him ﷺ of Jarīr b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Bajalī ؓ to Dhū al-Kilāʿ b. Nākūr b. Ḥabīb b. Mālik b. Ḥassān b. Tubbaʿ and to Dhū ʿAmr, calling them both to Islam, and they both embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died while Jarīr was still with them. Al-Ḥākim mentioned this, and it was mentioned in Zād al-Maʿād. Ibn Saʿd said: And Ḍuraybah bt. Abrahah b. al-Ṣabbāḥ, the wife of Dhū al-Kilāʿ, embraced Islam, and Jarīr left for Madinah after the death of the Prophet ﷺ.
