حَدِيثٌ فِي فَضْلِ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ . قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: لَا أَزَالُ أُحِبُّ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهَا فِيهِمْ: " هُمْ أَشَدُّ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الدَّجَّالِ ". وَكَانَتْ فِيهِمْ سَبِيَّةٌ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ: " أَعْتِقِيهَا ; فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ". وَجَاءَتْ صَدَقَاتُهُمْ فَقَالَ: " هَذِهِ صَدَقَاتُ قَوْمٍ - أَوْ: قُومِي - ".
Translation
✧ A ḥadīth concerning the virtue of Banū Tamīm. Al-Bukhārī said: Zuhayr b. Ḥarb narrated to us, Jarīr narrated to us from ʿUmārah b. al-Qaʿqāʿ from Abū Zurʿah from Abū Hurayrah, who said: I will never cease to love Banū Tamīm after three things I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying about them: "They are the strongest of my community against the Dajjāl." There was a captive woman among them in the possession of ʿĀʾishah, and he said: "Set her free, for she is of the descendants of Ismāʿīl." And their ṣadaqah (alms) came, and he said: "These are the ṣadaqahs of a people—or: of my people."
