Mention of Year Nine and Its Designation as the Year of Delegations
[ بَعْضُ رِجَالِ الْوَفْدِ ] وَقَدَمِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَفْدُ بَنِي عَامِرٍ، فِيهِمْ عَامِرُ بْنُ الطُّفَيْلِ وَأَرْبَدُ بْنُ قَيْسِ بْنِ جَزْءِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، وَجَبَّارُ بْنُ سَلْمَى بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، وَكَانَ هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةُ رُؤَسَاءَ الْقَوْمِ وَشَيَاطِينَهُمْ.
Translation
✧ [SOME OF THE MEN OF THE DELEGATION] The delegation of Banū ʿĀmir came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, among them ʿĀmir b. al-Ṭufayl, Arbad b. Qays b. Jazʾ b. Khālid b. Jaʿfar, and Jabbār b. Salmā b. Mālik b. Jaʿfar. These three were the leaders of the people and their devils.
