Translation
✧ Mention of his ﷺ eating from cheese that the People of the Book gifted to him at Tabūk From Ibn ʿUmar ؓ who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a piece of cheese at Tabūk, so he called for a knife, pronounced the name of Allah, and cut it. This was narrated by Abū Dāwūd. Muḥammad b. ʿUmar said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ camped at Wādī al-Qurā, Banū ʿArīḍ, the Jew, gifted him a harīsah, so he ate it and gave them forty wasqs in return. It is a continuous allowance upon them until the Day of Resurrection. Muḥammad b. ʿUmar said: It is a continuous allowance upon them until this hour.
