The Expedition of Ḥunayn (Hawāzin)
ذِكْرُ بَرَكَةِ يَدِهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَاءِ بِحُنَيْنٍ رَوَى أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ ؓ قَالَ: غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ هَوَازِنَ فَأَصَابَنَا جَهْدٌ شَدِيدٌ، فَدَعَا بِنُطْفَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فِي إِدَاوَةٍ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَصُبَّتْ فِي قَدَحٍ فَجَعَلْنَا نُطَهِّرُ بِهِ حَتَّى تَطَهَّرْنَا جَمِيعًا.
Translation
✧ Mention of the blessing of his hand ﷺ in the water at Ḥunayn Abū Nuʿaym narrated from Salamah b. al-Akwaʿ ؓ, who said: We raided with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ against Hawāzin, and we suffered severe hardship. He called for a little water in a waterskin, and he ordered it to be poured into a bowl, and we began to perform ablution with it until we all had performed ablution.
