Arrival of the Emigrants from the Land of Abyssinia
قُدُومُ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ قَدِمَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَالْمُهَاجِرُونَ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِيهِمْ أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ وَالْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ خَيْبَرَ فَأَسْهَمَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ غَنِيمَةِ خَيْبَرَ، وَقَدْ فَرِحَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِقُدُومِ جَعْفَرٍ فَقَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ، وَالْتَزَمَهُ وَقَالَ: مَا أَدْرِي بِأَيِّهِمَا أَنَا أُسَرُّ: بِفَتْحِ خَيْبَرَ. أَمْ بِقُدُومِ جَعْفَرٍ؟
Translation
✧ Arrival of the Emigrants from the Land of Abyssinia Jaʿfar b. Abī Ṭālib and the emigrants with him among the Muslims, among them Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī and the Ashʿarīs, arrived from the land of Abyssinia in the year seven of the Hijrah, on the day of the conquest of Khaybar. The Prophet ﷺ allotted them a share of the spoils of Khaybar. The Prophet ﷺ rejoiced at the arrival of Jaʿfar; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed him between his eyes, embraced him, and said: "I do not know which of the two makes me happier: the conquest of Khaybar or the arrival of Jaʿfar?"
