The Expedition of Uḥud
Translation
✧ Mālik b. al-Dakhshum passed by Khārijah b. Zayd [b. Abī Zuhayr] while he was sitting, surrounded by his family's possessions, with thirteen wounds, all of which had reached a vital spot. He said: “Do you not know that Muḥammad has been killed?” Khārijah said: “If the Messenger of God ﷺ has been killed, then God is Ever-Living and never dies. The Messenger of God ﷺ has conveyed the message of his Lord, so fight for your religion!”
