The story of Salih (peace and blessings be upon him)
أَمَّا صَالِحٌ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - فَإِنَّهُ سَارَ إِلَى الشَّامِ، فَنَزَلَ فِلَسْطِينَ، ثُمَّ انْتَقَلَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَأَقَامَ بِهَا يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى مَاتَ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَمَانٍ وَخَمْسِينَ سَنَةً، وَكَانَ قَدْ أَقَامَ فِي قَوْمِهِ يَدْعُوهُمْ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً. وَقِيلَ: بَلْ عَاشَ مِائَتَيْ سَنَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ ثُمَّ بَعَثَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بَعْدَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَلِيلَ.
Translation
✧ As for Ṣāliḥ ﷺ, he traveled to Syria and settled in Palestine. Then he moved to Makkah and stayed there worshipping Allah until he died at the age of fifty-eight years. He had remained among his people calling them for twenty years. It was also said: rather, he lived two hundred and seventy years. Then Allah, Exalted is He, sent after him Ibrāhīm al-Khalīl.
