The Expedition of Uḥud
[ صَلَاةُ الرَّسُولِ قَاعِدًا ] قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَذَكَرَ عُمَرُ مَوْلَى غُفْرَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَاعِدًا مِنْ الْجِرَاحِ الَّتِي أَصَابَتْهُ، وَصَلَّى الْمُسْلِمُونَ خَلْفَهُ قُعُودًا
Translation
✧ [The Messenger’s Prayer While Seated] Ibn Hishām said: ʿUmar, the mawlā of Ghufrah, mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ prayed the noon prayer on the day of Uḥud seated, because of the wounds he had sustained, and the Muslims prayed behind him seated.
