The Expedition of Banū Qaynuqāʿ
خَبَرُ يَهُودِ بَنِي قَيْنُقَاعَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، وَقَدْ زَعَمَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ فِي يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ، النِّصْفَ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ سَنَةَ ثِنْتَيْنِ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ، فَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ. وَقِيلَ: كَانَتْ فِي صَفَرٍ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ، وَجَعَلَهَا بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْدَ غَزْوَةِ الْكُدْرِ.
Translation
✧ The affair of the Jews of Banū Qaynuqāʿ from the people of Madinah , and al-Wāqidī claimed that it was on Saturday, the middle of Shawwāl in the year two of the Hijrah, but God knows best. And it is said: it was in Ṣafar in the year three, and some of them placed it after the expedition of al-Kudr.
