Translation
✧ The Expedition of Dhū Amarr (the Expedition of Najd). It took place in the third year of the Hijrah. This was because the Prophet ﷺ learned that a group from Ghaṭafān had been assembled by Duʿthūr b. al-Ḥārith b. Muḥārib, intending to raid the outskirts of Madinah. So the Prophet ﷺ went out against them with five hundred of his Companions, and they fled from him to the mountain tops. He returned to Madinah without encountering any hostilities.
