The Great Expedition of Badr
مَنْ اُسْتُشْهِدَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ [ الْقُرَشِيُّونَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ] وَاسْتُشْهِدَ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ: عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، قَتَلَهُ عُتْبَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، قَطَعَ رِجْلَهُ، فَمَاتَ بِالصَّفْرَاءِ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ بْنِ كِلَابٍ. عُمَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصِ بْنِ أُهَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ، وَهُوَ أَخُو سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، فِيمَا قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ، وَذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ ابْنُ عَبْدِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نَضْلَةَ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ خُزَاعَةَ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي غُبْشَانَ. رَجُلَانِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي عَدِّيٍّ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ: عَاقِلُ بْنُ الْبُكَيْرِ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَنِي سَعْدِ بْنِ لَيْثِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ، وَمِهْجَعٌ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ. رَجُلَانِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ فِهْرٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ فِهْرٍ: صَفْوَانُ بْنُ بَيْضَاءَ رَجُلٌ. سِتَّةُ نَفَرٍ. [ وَمِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ] وَمِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ: سَعْدُ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ، وَمُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ زَنْبَرٍ رَجُلَانِ. [ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ: يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُقَالُ لَهُ: ابْنُ فُسْحُمَ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي سَلَمَةَ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي حَرَامِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ غَنَمِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ: عُمَيْرُ بْنُ الْحُمَامِ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي حَبِيبٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ غَضْبِ بْنِ جُشَمٍ: رَافِعُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ: حَارِثَةُ بْنُ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ. رَجُلٌ. [ مِنْ بَنِي غُنْمٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي غَنَمِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ: عَوْفٌ وَمُعَوِّذٌ، ابْنَا الْحَارِثِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ سَوَادٍ، وَهُمَا ابْنَا عَفْرَاءَ. رَجُلَانِ. ثَمَانِيَةُ نَفَرٍ.
Translation
✧ Those of the Muslims who were martyred on the day of Badr [ The Qurayshīs from Banū ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib ] And among the Muslims who were martyred on the day of Badr, with the Messenger of God ﷺ, from Quraysh, then from Banū al-Muṭṭalib b. ʿAbd Manāf: ʿUbaydah b. al-Ḥārith b. al-Muṭṭalib. ʿUtbah b. Rabīʿah killed him; he cut his leg, so he died at al-Ṣafrāʾ. One man. [ From Banū Zuhrah ] And from Banū Zuhrah b. Kilāb: ʿUmayr b. Abī Waqqāṣ b. Uhayb b. ʿAbd Manāf b. Zuhrah, and he is the brother of Saʿd b. Abī Waqqāṣ, according to what Ibn Hishām said, and Dhū al-Shimālayn b. ʿAbd ʿAmr b. Naḍlah, an ally of theirs from Khuzāʿah, then from Banū Ghubshān. Two men. [ From Banū ʿAdīy ] And from Banū ʿAdīy b. Kaʿb b. Luʾayy: ʿĀqil b. al-Bukayr, an ally of theirs from Banū Saʿd b. Layth b. Bakr b. ʿAbd Manāh b. Kinānah, and Mihjaʿ, a client of ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb. Two men. [ From Banū al-Ḥārith b. Fihr ] And from Banū al-Ḥārith b. Fihr: Ṣafwān b. Bayḍāʾ. One man. Six persons. [ And from the Anṣār ] And from the Anṣār, then from Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf: Saʿd b. Khaythamah, and Mubashshir b. ʿAbd al-Mundhir b. Zanbar. Two men. [ From Banū al-Ḥārith b. al-Khazraj ] And from Banū al-Ḥārith b. al-Khazraj: Yazīd b. al-Ḥārith, and he is the one who is called Ibn Fusḥum. One man. [ From Banū Salamah ] And from Banū Salimah, then from Banū Ḥarām b. Kaʿb b. Ghanam b. Kaʿb b. Salamah: ʿUmayr b. al-Ḥumām. One man. [ From Banū Ḥabīb ] And from Banū Ḥabīb b. ʿAbd Ḥārithah b. Mālik b. Ghaḍb b. Jusham: Rāfiʿ b. al-Muʿallā. One man. [ From Banū al-Najjār ] And from Banū al-Najjār: Ḥārithah b. Surāqah b. al-Ḥārith. One man. [ From Banū Ghunm ] And from Banū Ghanam b. Mālik b. al-Najjār: ʿAwf and Muʿawwidh, the two sons of al-Ḥārith b. Rifāʿah b. Sawād, and they are the two sons of ʿAfrāʾ. Two men. Eight persons.
