أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ ثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ أَنْبَأَ عَوْفٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ الْقَوَّاسِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ

إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ مُدَّتِ الْأَرْضُ مَدَّ الْأَدِيمِ وَحَشَرَ اللَّهُ الْخَلَائِقَ الْإِنْسَ وَالْجِنَّ وَالدَّوَابَّ وَالْوُحُوشَ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْقِصَاصَ بَيْنَ الدَّوَابِّ حَتَّى تَقُصَّ الشَّاةُ الْجَمَّاءُ مِنَ الْقَرْنَاءِ بِنَطْحَتِهَا فَإِذَا فَرَغَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْقِصَاصِ بَيْنَ الدَّوَابِّ قَالَ لَهَا كُونِي تُرَابًا فَتَكُونُ تُرَابًا فَيَرَاهَا الْكَافِرُ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا

Translation

✧ When the Day of Resurrection comes, the earth will be stretched out like a hide, and Allah will gather the creatures—humans, jinn, beasts, and wild animals. On that day, Allah will establish retribution among the beasts, until the hornless sheep exacts retribution from the horned one for its goring. When Allah finishes retribution among the beasts, He will say to them: 'Be dust,' and they will become dust. Then the disbeliever will see it and say: 'Would that I were dust!'
