✧ By Allah, were it not for something, I would not have narrated a hadith to you. They said: 'You said the Hour will not come until such and such.' He said: 'I only said such and such will not happen until a great event occurs, and that has already happened: the House was burned and such and such.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Dajjal will come forth and remain among my nation as long as Allah wills, remaining forty'—and I do not know whether it is nights, months, or years. He said: 'Then Allah will send Jesus son of Mary ﷺ, as if he were Urwah b. Mas'ud al-Thaqafi.' He said: 'He will seek him until he destroys him.' He said: 'Then the people will remain for seven years, with no enmity between any two.' He said: 'Then Allah will send a cold wind from the direction of Syria, and it will not leave anyone who has an atom's weight of faith in his heart except that it will take his soul, even if one of you were in the heart of a mountain, it would enter upon him.' I heard this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'the heart of a mountain.' He said: 'Then the worst of people will remain, those who do not enjoin good or forbid evil, in the lightness of birds and the minds of wild beasts.' He said: 'Then Satan will come to them and say: "Will you not respond?" They will say: "What do you command us?" He said: 'He will command them to worship idols, and they will worship them. Meanwhile, their provision will be abundant and their livelihood good.' He said: 'Then the trumpet will be blown, and no one will hear it except he will incline his ear. The first to hear it will be a man plastering the cistern of his camels.' He said: 'He will fall down stunned, then the people will fall down stunned. Then Allah will send rain like dew, and their bodies will grow.' He said: 'Then it will be blown again, and behold, they will be standing, looking on. Then it will be said: "Come to your Lord, and stop them; indeed they are to be questioned."' He said: 'Then it will be said: "Bring forth the delegation of the Fire."' He said: 'It will be said: "How many?" It will be said: "From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine."
