✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I know better than the Dajjal what is with him. He has two rivers: one appears as fire blazing to the eye of the beholder, and the other as white water. If any of you encounters him, let him close his eyes and drink from the one he sees as fire, for it is cold water. Beware of the other, for it is the trial. Know that between his eyes is written ‘disbeliever’, which will be read by those who write and those who do not. One of his eyes is obliterated, with a growth over it. At the end of his affair, he will appear on the belly of the Jordan, at his house in Afiq, and everyone who believes in Allah and the Last Day in the belly of the Jordan. He will kill a third of the Muslims, rout a third, and leave a third. Night will fall upon them, and some believers will say to others, ‘What are you waiting for? Join your brothers in the pleasure of your Lord. Whoever has surplus food, let him bring it to his brother. Pray when dawn breaks, hasten the prayer, then advance against your enemy.’ When they stand to pray, Jesus son of Mary (blessings of Allah be upon him) will descend as their imam and lead them in prayer. When he finishes, he will say, ‘Open a way between me and the enemy of Allah.’ Abu Hazim said: Abu Hurayrah said: ‘He will melt as fat melts in the sun.’ And ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr said: ‘As salt melts in water.’ Allah will empower the Muslims over them, and they will kill them, until even the tree and the stone will call out, ‘O servant of Allah, O ‘Abd al-Rahman, O Muslim, here is a Jew, kill him.’ Allah will expel them, and the Muslims will prevail. They will break the cross, kill the pig, and abolish the jizyah. While they are in that state, Allah will bring out Gog and Magog. The first of them will drink the lake, and the last of them will come and say, ‘There was once water here,’ and they will not leave a drop in it. They will say, ‘We have overcome our enemies; there was once a trace of water here.’ The Prophet of Allah ﷺ and his companions behind him will come until they enter a city of the cities of Palestine called Ludd. They will say, ‘We have overcome those on earth; come, let us fight those in the sky.’ The Prophet of Allah ﷺ will then supplicate to Allah, and Allah will send against them an ulcer in their throats, and none of them will remain alive. Their stench will harm the Muslims, and Jesus (blessings of Allah be upon him) will supplicate against them, and Allah will send a wind that will cast them all into the sea.”
