✧ We were sitting with Hudhayfah when the Beast was mentioned. Hudhayfah said: 'It will emerge three times: first in some of the deserts, then it will hide. Then it will emerge in some of the towns, causing alarm and causing the rulers to shed blood. Then it will hide.' He said: 'While the people are at the greatest, most excellent, and most honorable mosque'—until we said 'the Sacred Mosque,' but he did not name it—'the earth will rise up, and the people will flee, but a group of Muslims will remain, saying: "Nothing will save us from Allah's decree." Then it will come out and polish their faces until they become like shining stars. It will follow the people: neighbors in quarters, partners in wealth, and companions in Islam.'
