✧ The world will not come to an end, O Ali b. Abi Talib.” Ali said: “At your service, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “Know that you will fight the Banu al-Asfar (the Romans), or those after you among the believers will fight them. The finest of the believers, the people of the Hijaz who strive in the cause of Allah, not deterred by the blame of any blamer, will go out to them, until Allah ﷻ grants them victory over Constantinople and Rome with glorification and takbir. Its fortress will collapse, and they will seize immense spoils the like of which they have never seized, until they divide them by the shield. Then a crier will cry out: 'O people of Islam, the Messiah, the Dajjal, has appeared in your lands and among your families.' The people will disperse from the wealth: some will take it and some will leave it. The one who takes will regret, and the one who leaves will regret. They will say: 'Who is this crier?' They will not know who he is. They will say: 'Send a scouting party to Ludd. If the Messiah has appeared, they will bring you news of him.' They will come and look, but they see nothing, and they see people in doubt. They will say: 'The crier cried out only because of some important news. So be determined, then be guided.' They will resolve: 'Let us all go out to Ludd. If the Dajjal is there, we will fight him until Allah judges between us and him, and He is the best of judges. If it is something else, then it is your lands, your kinsfolk, and your armies; you will have returned to them.'
