أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ
«ثَارَتِ الْفِتْنَةُ الْأُولَى فَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ كَانَتِ الْفِتْنَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ فَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ أَحَدٌ وَأَظُنُّ لَوْ كَانَتْ فِتْنَةٌ ثَالِثَةٌ لَمْ تُرْفَعْ وَفِي النَّاسِ طَبَاخٌ»

✧ The first tribulation arose, and none remained of those who witnessed Badr. Then the second tribulation occurred, and none remained of those who witnessed al-Hudaybiyyah. I think that if a third tribulation occurred, it would not be lifted while there is any strength (tabakh) among the people.
