✧ al-Fitn wal-Malahim - Hadith of Abu Huraira

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَمِقِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

سَتَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ أَسْلَمُ النَّاسِ فِيهَا أَوْ قَالَ لَخَيْرُ النَّاسِ فِيهَا الْجُنْدُ الْغَرْبِيُّ «فَلِذَلِكَ قَدِمْتُ مِصْرَ

Translation

✧ There will be a tribulation in which the safest of the people—or he said, the best of the people in it—will be the western army. For that reason I came to Egypt.
