✧ He said: 'O Abu Dharr! How will you act when people are so hungry that you cannot rise from your mosque to your bed, nor from your bed to your mosque?' I said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'You should be chaste.' Then he said: 'How will you act when people die until a house is worth a servant?' I said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'You should be patient.' Then he said: 'How will you act when people attack until the people of ranks raid with blood?' I said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'You should join those you belong to.' I said: 'What if it comes upon me?' He said: 'If you fear that the flash of the sword will dazzle you, throw a part of your cloak over your face; he will bear your sin and his sin, and he will be among the people of the Fire.' I said: 'Should I not carry weapons?' He said: 'Then you would share in it.'
