حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَطَّارُ بِبَغْدَادَ قَالَا ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُنْذِرِ الْعَدَوِيَّةِ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ عَلِيٌّ وَهُوَ نَاقِهٌ قَالَتْ وَلَنَا دَوَالِي مُعَلَّقَةٌ قَالَتْ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَكَلَ وَقَامَ عَلِيٌّ فَأَكَلَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَهْلًا يَا عَلِيُّ فَإِنَّكَ نَاقِهٌ» فَجَلَسَ عَلِيٌّ ثُمَّ صَنَعْتُ لَهُمْ سِلْقًا وَشَعِيرًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مِنْ هَذَا أَصِبِ الْآنَ يَا عَلِيُّ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me with Ali, and he was convalescing. She said, "We had hanging clusters of grapes." She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and ate, and Ali stood and ate. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Gently, O Ali, for you are convalescing.' Ali sat down. Then I prepared chard and barley for them, and the Prophet ﷺ said, 'From this, eat now, O Ali.'"

محمد بن أبي يحيى هو محمد بن فليح وهذا الحديث معروف من رواية فليح وكنت أظن أنه محمد بن أبي يحيى الأسلمي أبو إبراهيم بن أبي يحيى فألقيت على أبي زرعة فلم يعرفه من حديث محمد بن أبي يحيى وجعل يعجب ويضطرب عليه الأمر وكذلك كان يضطرب علي حتى الآن وقفت عليه هو فليح ويكنى أبا يحيى

Abī Yaḥyā, so I put it to Abū Zurʿah, but he did not recognise it as a hadith of Muḥammad b. Abī Yaḥyā. He kept expressing astonishment, and the matter was confusing to him, just as it was confusing to me, until now I have established that he is Fulayḥ, who is given the kunya Abū Yaḥyā.
