أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّمَّاكِ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ ثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَحْرَانِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

«سَمِعْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْعَتُ الزَّيْتَ وَالْوَرْسَ مِنْ ذَاتِ الْجَنْبِ» قَالَ قَتَادَةُ «يُلَدُّ مِنْ جَانِبِهِ الَّذِي يَشْتَكِيهِ»

✧ I heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ prescribing olive oil and wars for pleurisy. Qatadah said, "He is treated by pouring medicine into the side of his mouth that is affected."
