✧ A commander among the commanders of Kufa summoned a magician to perform before the people. It reached Jundub, so he came with his sword and covered himself with it. When he saw him, he struck him with his sword, and the people dispersed from him. He said, "O people, do not be alarmed; I only intended the magician." The commander seized him and imprisoned him.

Notes

machine translationSo that reached Salmān, and he said: "What evil they both did. This one should not have done so, when he is an imām who is followed, by summoning a sorcerer to play in front of him; and that one should not have rebuked his commander with the sword." Al-Dhahabī remained silent about it in al-Talkhīṣ.
