أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ الْغِفَارِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «زُرِ الْقُبُورَ تَذْكُرْ بِهَا الْآخِرَةَ وَاغْسِلِ الْمَوْتَى فَإِنَّ مُعَالَجَةَ جَسَدٍ خَاوٍ مَوْعِظَةٌ بَلِيغَةٌ وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ لَعَلَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُكَ فَإِنَّ الْحَزِينَ فِي ظِلِّ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Visit the graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter. Wash the dead, for handling an empty body is an eloquent admonition. Pray over the funerals, perhaps that will grieve you, for the grieving one is in the shade of Allah on the Day of Resurrection.'

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
