حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ سَعْدَوَيْهِ ثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ مَنْظُورِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ ثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ فَرَأَى شَاةً شَائِلَةً بِرِجْلِهَا فَقَالَ «أَتَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ الشَّاةَ هَيِّنَةً عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا وَلَوْ كَانَتِ الدُّنْيَا تَعْدِلُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ جَنَاحَ بَعُوضَةٍ مَا سَقَى كَافِرًا مِنْهَا شَرْبَةَ مَاءٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Dhu al-Hulayfah and saw a sheep lifting its leg. He said: “Do you consider this sheep insignificant to its owner?” They said: Yes. He said: “By Him in whose hand is my soul, the world is more insignificant to Allah than this is to its owner. If the world weighed as much as a mosquito's wing with Allah, He would not give a disbeliever a drink of water from it.”
