✧ I heard from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a hadith that, had I heard it only once or twice — until he counted seven — but I heard it more than that. He said: 'Al-Kifl was among the Children of Israel and did not refrain from any sin he committed. A woman came to him and he gave her sixty dinars on condition that he have intercourse with her. When he sat from her as a man sits from his wife, she trembled and wept. He said: "What makes you weep? Were you compelled?" She said: "No, but this is an act I have never done, and only need drove me to it." He said: "You would do this and have never done it before?" Then he got down and said: "Go, and the dinars are yours." Then he said: "By Allah, al-Kifl will never disobey his Lord again." He died that very night, and in the morning it was written on his door: "Al-Kifl has been forgiven."'
