حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْجَلَّابُ بِهَمْدَانَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَرَّازُ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ الْأَخْضَرِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ أَدْوِيَةً نَتَدَاوَى بِهَا وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا أَتَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّهَا مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ»

✧ I said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of medicines we treat with and incantations we seek cure with—do they repel anything from Allah's decree? He said: "They are from Allah's decree."
